The Virginia Soccer Alliance is proud to announce new member club Nelson Express Travel Soccer (NETS).  NETS offers soccer programming for youth players in Lovingston and all of Nelson County.  NETS has been fielding competitive travel soccer teams since 1998 and currently fields teams in the western VA division of the National Premier League.

“We are excited to join the Virginia Soccer Alliance.” said NETS President Bryan Ferren. “This opportunity will allow us to continue to grow competitive youth soccer in the county and provide additional opportunities to our soccer players in the form of summer camps, access to indoor soccer leagues, and clinics for our coaches, to name a few. ”

“NETS will continue to operate as a local club, serving the youth of Nelson County.  Our goals are to continue to promote youth soccer in the county and encourage kids to take on more responsibility with their commitment to being part of a team and working together through soccer.”

The Virginia Soccer Alliance was formed in 2021.  It brings together like-minded organizations to provide enhanced local soccer programming and promote long-term growth and stability of member institutions.  VSA believes that through collaboration, clubs in small to medium size communities can provide additional soccer opportunities, player pathways, and developmental platforms not possible on their own.  The Alliance professionalizes administration for member clubs, aligns programming within the greater organization and promotes well-supported community soccer clubs in central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

NETS travel teams will continue uninterrupted.  Clinic and Camp opportunities are being planned for the summer months of 2024.  Nelson Express members also have the immediate option of joining existing supplemental programming in the Charlottesville area where desired.
